Anyone know if this is a genuine error and if so what kind?

It appears to be genuine strike-thru error. The nature and origin of the foreign matter cannot be determined.

That is nice Rock. Hmmm... my imagination says (if you turn the coin so the date as at the bottom) it was a very tiny penguin.
