What is the deal with this cent?

I was searching rolls the other day and came across this. It doesn't look altered. Did it not get its copper plating or what? :squigglemouth:

Those can be a bit difficult to tell by photos. Could be you have one that did not have the copper layer or it could have been removed. Looks as though the reverse has a bit of a copper wash look to it. It would probably take someone with experience with these to have an in hand look at it. I have several and still can't figure out whether they are post mint damage or not. :squigglemouth:
