I've found two out of the 6 reported. Let me do the math on my odds of finding one.

That work for about a month. LOL
I showed my girl a couple of post, one when Billy discovered the "96" wide AM, and the other when, I think he goes by Ziggy, discovered the "82" small date DDR.
Now I got her helping sort boxes into groups, (date, mint mark), then all I have to do is search one year and mint at a time. Your right though, probably wont last long.
She did ask once, "Well why don't you sort and I'll check for varieties? I can learn." So I said O.K., then opened "Coppercoins" variety search for 1964-D, and said "All right, start with these, if the coin you have does not match any of the 64 varieties, you made a discovery."
Believe me, if she would have still been willing, I would have welcomed the help.

After i sold the first 1992-D close AM for 2901.00, she gave me alot less lip for spending all day looking at pennies.

I would be interested in finding out the sale price of this coin. It would help in determining a benchmark for values so they can for once be correctly published.
As for a secret to finding these...keep looking through more coins until you find one. A few boxes just isn't going to cut it unless you are unusually lucky. I would estimate a hundred boxes if not more before you shoud expect to see one.

Nice, really nice finds. 1992-D mints are scarcer than water on Mars. I wish you would've gotten the five grand. Don't be so generous next time. Next time, my gosh, I can't even imagine a first time.
