1996 with interesting error to it.

What i have here is what appears to be a die-cap? or something else. i did an over lay of the front with a Washington quarter and it seems to match up, looks like it to me that it was hit by a quarter or am i wrong on this one lol. any help would be great on this one. just found this today.

well what you have there is a die cap, also it looks like it was hit by the die press and stayed in there to lng. Also i do not see any indications that it was hit with a quarter. Nice find though....keep up the great hunting.

It's not a die cap. It's a capped die strike. It was struck by a late-stage die cap.
