I saw the recent post AGcollector made and then found this. I still a bit confused though, is it a MAD because only one side is off?

Yep- it's misaligned because only one side is off. Good find!

Nice find, however you can have a rare one that has both sides misaligned.

If they are off at the same end it would a off-center, at least that's what I was told.

You are correct. If the coin is not centered the same amount on both the obverse and reverse, and it is in the same direction, it is indeed an off center strike. In the case of the one I found, the obverse is misaligned in one direction, while the reverse is misaligned in a totally different direction. Although the misalignment is rather minor, these double misaligned dies are said to be very scarce.

That is a really nice one that can be easily missed. Good eye!
I notice on the reverse the letters TED and S of United States, the left side of each letter seems to be doubled... or maybe not. Check the letters carefully and let us know if it really is.

It is certainly a mis aligned die but it didn't take any off the elements out the ones that are worth a premium, were there are letters taken out but it's still a cool coin/ I would say it's off about three percent
