View Full Version : Roll Results 11/24
So I opened 5 rolls of wheats today.. Here's some of the findings.. As normal nothing but 40's and 50's are the majority. There is a 1950 D which looks like it had a D over D. Not sure though..
It looks exactly like 1950 D/D rpm 1. Nice find. It is a top 100 rpm.

This is exactly why I stopped searching through wheat cents.

What?! But your Brad "The Resource".. You don't search wheats anymore?
I search Ebay...and pay for them. Actually, I do search once in a while...but the coins that I want are most likely not going to be found that way, or inexpensive enough to buy. Trust me, I've searched thousands.

I don't doubt it.. :)

Awesome find! I highly recommend buying one of those 5000 count wheaties bags off of Ebay. I've bought about a dozen of them and a number of coins have pretty much paid for them. You can 99% guarantee that you won't find a key date because I believe they "truly search them" (LOL) but I can't imagine they have the time to search through for RPM'S, OMM'S, and all the different classes of double dies for any given date. I have definitely found a lot of great coins and if you don't like to go outside, eat, sleep, and you love excrutiating back pain, this is the best way to search through wheaties!
Yeah I'm still going some.. I have 10lbs of 1940-1949 wheats and 3lbs or so of 80-89 wheats.
You guys should consider searching though memorials too. You can get them at the bank. 2000, 1999, 1998 Wide AM's; 1995, 1983, 1984, 1972, 1970 S doubled dies; 1992 and 1992 D close AM's; 1959 D, 1960 D, and 1961 D rpms; 2006 doubled dies. Finding a 1992 Close AM would be better than almost any Wheat Cent find...and how many people are looking for them? The best coins to look for are rare coins that few know about that were discovered years after their minting.
2006? I have like 20 rolls of 2006 BU..

It is the best ddo since 1995, but it is nowhere near as strong.http://z.about.com/d/coins/1/0/v/6/-/-/Doubled_Die_Penny_2006_175.jpg (http://home.sc.rr.com/stereo3dgames/Die_Variety_News_Issue_7.pdf)
