Thought I would share with you this 1987 Lincoln cent I recently came across out of a circulated roll. Usually the inverted and flip-flopped incused outline remnants of the letters "ON" of ONE are seldom seen on die clashes since those particular letter elements are near the rim.

On this coin not only are the inverted and flip-flopped outlines of the letters "ON" are readily visible but one can also see they are out of position in the field extremely wide south from where the normal alignment of being under the words IN GOD. This would be an example of a severely misaligned die clash (MAD Clash) Mint error.

If your asking about behind the letters "RTY" of LIBERTY those are the die clash remnants of the Memorial bays. Normally, with correct alignment, the letters of LIBERTY would dissect the middle of the bays. But with this being severely misaligned the remnants of the bays are also shifted wide south.

The rest of the coin is very heavily abraded to hide and dress-out the clashed remnants.

That is pretty cool. I've never seen a die clash like that before. That's what I love about this hobby...you never know what the next lincoln cent out of the roll is going to look like.
Thanks for sharing Billy. very nice error.
