Anyone reside in L.A. like 2 earn a buck helping a novice?

I wanted to know if any of the member here, live in los angeles. If there is, would you be willing to meet up with me to varify a few of the coins that I've collected. I've tried going to local coin shops but they run me out as soon as I start talking about variety coins as if I've got the plague. Not sure why. Not sure I want to know why. Anyways, I'm new to the hobby and I'd like to know if I'm headed in the right direction. I don't want to collect for a year only to realize I'm been collecting machine doubled coins instead of doudled die coins. I thought it would be much more to my advantage if I had someone to look over and give there opinion on what I've collected to date, good or bad. Maybe give me some tips on what I should or shouldn't be focusing on. I have quite a few coins so I'm not expecting this person to do this for free. I am will to pay for his or her time.

If you can take pix of them coins and post them, Im sure everyone will help you with it. There is just about every expert you would want to know on this forum on a regular basis. I dont think any of them are near LA. If you can take pix, just post them up and it will save you time and money.
