I set this coin aside way before I even knew brassy plated cents existed, it just looked golden so I kept it.
But I havent heard of any known brassies earlier than 1983.
Is it possible this could be one?

I have seen Lincolns like this before that were not clad. I would guess these coins just happened to be in a strange place for a period of time that caused or influenced the coins to tone like this. As to what conditions are at the root of it I have no clue...
