I wonder what Big One this guy is talking about?

Could it be a Class 5 Die 1?

It is a great penny--one that I'm still looking for.
But it Ain't The Big One.

Common eBay problem. Seller's post a DDO from 1972 (or in this case 1983) and act as if it is The Big One. People buy it at a higher price. It happend recently with an '83P DDO-008 that was sold as if it was DOO-001...
I may be wrong, but this Lincoln at auction looks more like DDO-003 than DDO-001...

It appears to be the 1983 1-O-5. Probably referring to the stronger of the 3 dies.

Yeah I thought it might have been 003 but the 8 does not have the Die Blob. It really does look like a late die state 1-O-V

That's what I get for working off of memory. I thought die 001 had a stronger spread but the die 001 does have a series of whispy die scratches along the IN GOD WE just like the coin pictured on eBay. For the record, an EDS of die 003 does not have the die break in the 8...but this is not 003, it is 001...
