I see it. Not sure what it is, but I see it. Stuff like that drives me nuts. I spend way too much time staring at those types of things when they come up trying to decide what it is and what to do with it.

what is drining me nuts is it is raised in areas like the bottom curve there is raised

maybe they started wiith a MM in that position, then decided to reuse or change the MM on the die, then filed the original one off and repunched it in another location, leaving the "shadow" or remnants of the 1st one on the die. Does that seem plausible?

The supposed extra S doesn't look right, I think it is too small. Try making an overlay and make sure it is the correct size and proportions...

I played with it in Photoshop, it doesn't fit perfectly but it is closer (actually much closer) than I had thought. You may need to send it to someone. You could try posting pics using light from another angle to see it better and make sure it isn't some sort of anomaly...

The die flow lines are pretty heavy making this a tough call by photographs only.
