So far I have not been able to positively identify this ddr.
The wear and lack of markers make the task more difficult.
I think it is down to a choice. Either 1945 1c 1-R-VI as in 'The Lincoln Cent Doubled Die' by John A. Wexler, or
1945P-1DR-003 Class 2+5 at coppercoins.com.
The throat on this Lincoln is obscured by corrosion, so identifying a die clash is not quite possible. However the dots in EPU look similar in shape and direction, and the wheat stems are wide.
Or, there might be another choice I have missed altogether.
Thanks for checking,
Jean

Hi Jean,
I have accumalated a full tube of 1940-1945's class 6 DDR's over the last month alone, all of which are either not listed or the coin is too worn to ID any markers. It's tough when there are so many. CC seems to only list those few that are combined with a DDO or another class, ie; 2+6, or 2+5 etc. I know the die clash marker one by heart as I have checked that one so many times. The only ones I have been able to ID conclusively are the
1941D-1DR-002
1942P-1DR-003
1945P-1DR-004
Good luck Jean,
Rock

Nice find Jean.
I have no idea. If there are separation lines matching a class II & V, than 1DR-003 seems like a good candidate. The pic in Wexler's old book is too vague to know for sure. I don't have any '45 DDRs to compare yours too. Maybe Bob can look at it?

Thanks fellas... it is not terribly important to get it positively identified at this time.
