1956 D.. Close MM2DT

This struck me as out of the ordinary considering I've looked at 1000's of 56D's.. But this was seems awful close to the date..

It is close. Usually the engraver try's to get it under the date, between the bust and the edge of the die.

Wow, it's almost touching.

That is close, unfortunately...not worth any premium. The 1956 D/D rpm 16 has a close D like that http://www.lincolncentresource.com/RPMS/1956Drpm16.html
