A little help pls with 1951D RPM west

I did overlays with CC numbers -002 and -005 which seemed to be the closest to what my find looks like, but neither line up right. I have the RPM book but no luck matching it. Any ideas?

The only ones in the first RPM book that look similar is #17 or #18.
It is really a difficult comparison though. Bummer.
Hopefully someone will know.

I did an overlay of your photo and the 1951D-1DO-005 and they match up very well for me.

I did the overlay with 005 as well and it was way off for me. I've attached the overlay to see. I used the one in the date as my base and matched the 2 ones together.

It appears that your overlay needs the layers tilted a bit to line them up. I believe you will find that it is a good match with a bit of work on the overlay. I don't want to be definate with this so maybe Bob will see the thread and join in.

I took your advice and played around with the tilting by a couple of degrees and got a much better fit, not dead on but real close. I pretty sure its the 005 too. Thanks so much for taking the time to help me with this.
