1952 D ???

This coin kind of looks like the 1956D-1MM-016. At some angles it looks like a backwards D. Any thoughts or opinions?

Probably not a D. Looks like a die break or something. There are a lot of things that could happen to a working die that would cause those marks. It would be hard to show that it is a D, but it is possible.
