Does anyone here use Photoshop 7.0. I have tried to use instructions on another website. I am trying to learn overlay's comparing MM locations along with other functions of this program that will help in this hobby. Does anyone have any instructions on this?

If you have a particular question I may be able to help.

I can load the pictures side-by-side. I can also put them at the same size. From there I'm lost. I have tried Transparency, Graystyle, It makes not difference. I'm not that literate on these type programs. I have no pop-up window's that ask me what I want to do. I hope this makes sense.

When you are ready to start on a layer set two photos you want to use on the program as in the photo below and let me know then we can go to the next step.

Thank's guy's. Everything fine here. You will hear on the new's about the death's in Polk County and counties to the East. There were at least 3 tornado's that I know of. 2 still on the ground. Watch the news. I will continue the Photoshop thread later.

Well lets do a simple lay over withiout trying to get the sizing right at first. On the tool bar it will show a MOVE TOOL (four pointed arrow) click on it then click on one of the photos. Then click and hold on that photo and drag it over the other.
Lets see where we are at that point.

At the top of the page there is the word window click on it and drop down to layers and click on it. That shown bring up a small window showing layers and percentages.

Don't want to use the layer tab. Use the window tab. Drop down to layer and click on it. When you do that will leave a check mark by it and open a small window.

In that small window there should be two percentage boxes Opacity and Fill. set the fill percentage to about 50. this should allow you to see both photos in the same frame especially if the are offset a bit. you can still click on the photo and move it around at this point.

The next step would be to get that little window for layers to come up by checking LAYER under the window drop down at the top of the page.

Hrm.. I use Photoshop CS3 Extended myself..

The simplest way is open the Image..

Then use FILE-->Place the next image will appear as another layer..

Then change the opacity of the layers..

I also have Photoshop Elements 5.0. I don't have a clue about how to use it either. What is CS3?
