Here are the two coins I bought off ebay last week. 1955 S RPM-001 and a 1938 S RPM-002. I'm thinking about sending them to ANACS. Anybody care to guess what they would grade?

Those are two beautiful examples of nice varieties.

I received a group of 56 lincolns back from Anacs about 3 weeks ago as did several other frequent LCR posters. I have sent Anacs many past submissions and this was absolutely the worst experience that I have had with them. Any mint state full red coin that doesn't look like it was minted this morning gets a red-brown designation. The grading was as harsh and ridiiculous as I have ever seen.

Having said that, I would grade them 66 Red and 65 Red from your photos. I would expect Anacs to give them 65 Red and 64 Red and you may get a red-brown.

Thanks, I hope the 38 comes back 66. But i would be happy with a 65

Both could get a 65 or (as Roger suggested) a 64, I think the '38S is a little soft on the obverse for a 66...but they are both very nice...
