View Full Version : [Example] 1995 DDO Die #2
Guys, here is one I purchased a short while back. Super clean example of a 1995 Doubled Die Obverse (die #2.) Most people (even people that don't collect coins) looked for the big DDO for this date at one time or another during the last 15 years, as it appeared on the news and the front page of USA TODAY. It's suprising that this one is found so infrequently.
The doubling affects much of the legend on the coin, with the primary pick up points being "Liberty," the date (loops of both 9's), and "IN GOD WE..." The spread is clockwise, the opposite of die #1.
Don't have any close ups, but I think you can get the idea from my photos. Thanks for looking...

Nice find. I found one a while back but have not posted pictures. Hard to pick out, especailly if you're looking for DDO-001...
Nice!! I found one a little over a year ago.

I thought you might want to compare, your example has an exceptional strike and very nice color and i agree with RPM Hunter that your coin would get a high grade at the TPG's

What a great photo of a tough variety! Very nice! I would venture the coin will go 67 Red any day of the week.

Hey guys! Remember this thread? Well, I sent this coin off to PCGS for slabbing, and it came back PCGS MS67RD!! Im thrilled! Maybe one day it will make it into the CPG, and it will be sent back for variety attribution. Until then, it's just a super example of this lesser known 95 ddo. Thanks for revisiting this thread and good luck everyone!

I have 3 that were all found in circulation (2 - AU-58's & MS-62). It is a hard variety to find and yours is a super nice grade. CONGRATS!!! on a really nice example.
