I have just acquired ten rolls of 1960D small and large date MS65 coins that most appear to have some mint mark variety (RPM) on each. Are there an easy way to ID these coins instead of going through all the 160 plus varieties that are listed on CopperCoins?
Oh, I also have ten rolls of 1961D RPM's to seach through also.
I'm looking for a shortcut!

Like to say there is but there is no short cut I know of. You could post some here and see if there is any we might help identify.

Sorry, no easy solution other than to painstakingly go through them all. I would suggest organizing the RPMs into types (e.g., punched north, tilted, etc.,) and slowly narrow them down to potential candidates. I would also suggest buying James Wiles' RPM book, volume 1, 3rd edition, which is a DVD and can be found on varietyvista.com (CONECA).
Good luck and post the ones you cannot figure out here and get some suggestions...

Not unless you have a friend in forensics..lol.. Like on CSI when they search fingerprints.
That would the future of coins right there..
Pinpoint a few markers and the scan does the rest!!!!
That would be awesome
