I have a piece of hair in my proof set from 1978. What to do ?????

I figure we need to do some DNA analysis and find out who wasn't wearing their hair net!:angel:

Seriously though Frank, without removing the coins from the packaging, there may not be much that can be done. Maybe by spinning the package on the table, you might be able to get the hair to move out of the way so that it does not detract so much from the coin.

I tried turn and tapping on the table. I guess I am stuck with it like it is. I wounder if I contact the US mint and talk to them.It's there fault and there could not be a quality control when this was packed.They are supposed to be inspected. Right??
LOL I should put it on ebay as a rare US MINT Mistake.

thats why i always buy two.1 to get encapsulated 1 to keep.it looks like the inspecter wasn't wearing his glasses niether

Oh my goodness. DNA is the only answer to this dilemma. But, does that not mean that one needs to open the slab first? In my experience, those years of mint slabs are nearly impossible to open without destroying the case and maybe damaging the coins.

Reminds me of the hair that was in my pack of bacon I opened, weaved into it somehow:tinysmile_eyebrow_t..I know. Gross right.

But the bacon was still good..lol:LOL_Hair: Just kidding..
LOL I bet if I did say that they would bid. Some of those people on ebay will buy anything. I was thinking of putting it on ebay for the kicks of it. Just to see what would happen. I guess it could say Mint Mistake. What do you think??
