If you can, turn the fourth picture side ways (to the left). It kinda looks like the neck line and tie area from this angle.

Going by Jason's overlay it couldn't be the neck and tie. Or maybe the coin rotated?

i think your right aisha
if you look at pic 4 in the last column you can make out the top of the y liberty it should be on the other side . it looks like it clashed a couple times dont know if it was at the same time or over a period like somebody had said i still have not really looked at it to see if i can find any other marks i have to do that here shortly

Sorry I forgot your name shameless but you turned your pic to the right.
When you get to it again, flip it to the left.

maybe the die came loose and turned and it got hit several time ?
its a high speed press right? because one part of it looks like the back of his head and the one part looks like under his chin i think and then there is the "y" on the opposite side that it should be on
just my thoughts

Colleen you're right. There is something there. What it is, I can't can't tell.
Great pics and detecting work!

There may be a column mark on the neck but I think overall much of the clash was sanded down obscuring fine details, especially on the obverse where the clash marks were not that strong to begin with...
