looking at the steps to right of abe some show a split down to dividing the steps, then the first collum tilted coin show nothing in all letters of doubling

As much as I would like to see a Wavysteps on a '09 Lincoln, I am inclined to say that it looks like the coin took a hit on the steps. Did you find one or several (in a roll) with this exact anomaly?
Abe missing a finger would likely be due to a Filled Die, IMO.
BTW Brad has a "Variety Wavysteps" under the drop down menu in the Variety Attribution section that can be used in the future - he also has Trails too...

I guess what I was getting at is, are the various purported wavysteps you have found, from the same die or are they different? If you have the exact anomaly, on several coins, from the same die, then that would rule out PMD as a cause and at the very least suggest its origination on the die.

i have serveral with the same anobaly with the diaginal lines on steps and collums consistant I dont feel this a MD machine (mechanical) doubling some show small die crack at left foot doubling in all lettering fat rounded some showing notching with faint split as i only use a 10x loop and at lower portion of USA die dents could be do to exstream pressure

One of the areas your showing is part of the design in the steps.
The corner of the steps where they wrap around the side

I am not sure what you have there. The possibility does exist for step deviation on those stairs and only an in hand examination could tell if that is the case with your coin.

I should have looked closer, Jason is right, the slight change in elevation toward the right side of the steps is part of the design. That said, one would need examples that are unequivocally from the same die showing the same phenomena to rule out PMD. I still think I see a hit in one area.

Daryl - Since the Central Florida Coin show is coming up very soon, why not bring them there. Or if you want, just PM me and I'll send you my address.
Thanks Daryl.
