1998 P Cent with Die. that was decommissioned from the US mint after being worn. Has many people seen these forsale This guy had then quarter and dime to go with this from 1998.

That really seems strange to me... I always thought the dies were destroyed after retirement... On the last pic (I guess the shipping box) the seal, I believe, should say Department of the Treasury United States of America???... I am no pro though!!!

These have been offered for sale occasionally. What interests me more is that this die was pulled after only 177,000 strikes, and listed as worn. Seems like a very low number to me.

I too have seen them for sale. There are some Olympic coins that were only partly defaced so most of the design remains - the cost is prohibitive at $950 though...

Yea I just visited the Moonlight Mint site... that is cool that they were able to purchase an entire machine and found the blanks and struck coins and medals in it... The die they had was also cool... I like the fact that they used their blanks to strike commerative medals for the press!!!
