1955 d ddo?

Hey all,

Found this one in a bank roll. It looks like the ddo listed on coppercoins, but its too beat up for me to make out any of the die markers. I've never seen 1 in person so I'm not sure. Any ideas???

Does it have a doubled eyelid as well?

That part of the coin is in very rough shape. I want to say yes but its just too damged too tell.

Look for doubling on the inside of the lapel. Also, the doubling on the 1 and 9 of the date is rather protected, so it should be visible, even in a bad example. I have about a dozen of them, and a few are in pretty bad shape, but you can still see most of the doubling on them.
