1922d rev/
Through out time I been noticing my Gem Bu 1922D has slowly changing color. There has always been a lamination problem but now the rev is more of a flat color. I'm trying to take pics of the obv but to much shine. You got to remember this coin is in a case. Hard to take pictures from the cover glare.

Frank, did this coin ever have any kind of solvent or cleaner used on it? It is not natural toning in my eyes.

Bob I have never touch the coin.I bought it a while ago and it seems every month that goes by it changes a little. I think I am just going to sell it.I don't know whats going on. I don't like it. I have some BU wheats that are tone and the color is purple orange color the way they should look. I'm seeing the same here but not this bad and plus the color looks flat.

Or spent some time in a three page Witman folder. They can turn coins as well as the Dansco does also.

I agree that this is album toning on previously cleaned surfaces. Something in the case that's holding the coin is very chemically active, but I think its turning out pretty nicely. I know a lot of people go nuts for toned coins, so it will be interesting to see how this one turns out on e-bay. Best of luck with the auction!
